Dietary SUPPLEMENTS
This page presents a variety of food supplements that prevent, ameliorate, or cure cancer. My definition of a supplement is a vitamin or mineral that is extracted from foods by some special process other than simply cooking or juicing the food. Taking a supplement generally does not require doctor's supervision, but you should be sure your doctor concurs in the treatment in case it were to conflict with some other protocol.

CalMag Formula Will Mellow You Out
To start my discussion of supplements, I am presenting the CalMag formula. It is not a cancer cure directly, but it cures so many other problems and it relieves the symptoms of stress, anxiety, and basic aches and pains so well, that it belongs here. Here is the magic formula, also good for many other problems:
1. In a glass put 1 TBSP Calcium Gluconate powder
2. In a glass put 1/2 tsp Magnesium carbonate powder
3. In a glass put 1 TBSP cider vinegar (5% acid)
4. Stir and let it foam up a couple of minutes.
5. Stir in 1/2 cup to 1 cup boiling water. It should become clear, but tan in color. If it does not become clear, the magnesium is poor or old.
6. Stir in 1 TBSP honey so it dissolves.
7. Sip as a tea WITH A MEAL or at bedtime, or top off with cold water. If you do not drink with a meal or at bedtime, you will get VERY loose bowels, so if you are bored and want something to keep your interst up....
8. You can have 1 to three cups or glasses a day, and you can make enough at once to last 3 days covered in the refrigerator.

MSM - Methyl Sulfonyl Methane
MSM is a newly discovered miracle dietary aid. You should have it in your diet, and you have always been deficient in it, most likely. You need it to let your body rebuild injured tissue and to keep health. I suggest every adult take at least one teaspoon twice a day at exact 12 hour intervals. Read what follows and you'll see why.
MSM is a form of nutritional sulfur derived from DMSO - dimethylsulfoxide. DMSO has been known since the 50's, and was discovered in huge quantities as a byproduct of the paper industry.

When old cells die and are replaced by new cells, the new ones will be shriveled, wrinkled, and leathery if insufficient MSM is in the body. MSM is best aided by vitamin C in doing its work.
We are all deficient in MSM because of our diets. The best natural sources of MSM are fresh rainwater, milk, and fresh (that means FRESH) fruits and vegetables. MSM is the first thing to evaporate out of them when they are harvested, boiled, pastuerized, or allowed to sit. Laetrile (Vitamin B-17)
Vitamin B-17 comes from apricot kernels and the seeds of apples and many other fruits, grasses, and some vegetables. Typically, it is bitter tasting. It is known to prevent cancer when enough is in your diet. The reasons for this are fully documented in the pages listed below. However, here is a summary (and for more information, see the Food page).
Cancer cells were found by an Irish physician to be virtually identical to cells of the human embryo prior to development of a pancreas (about 8 weeks). These cells are call "Trophoblasts". They carry genetic information that allows them to develop into any cell the body needs (bone, hair, eyes, brain, etc), and they grow (split) very rapidly. It is easy to see how these are important to the developing human fetus.
At about 8 weeks, the fetus develops a pancreas, and the enzymes it produces stifle the development of trophoblasts. Insufficiency of these enzymes causes the mother to experience morning sickness.
Periods of stress or injury to the human body causes trophoblasts to develop in the area of the injury. Especially, damage to the pancreas also stimulates development of trophoblasts. If these are not controlled, they develop into raging cancer because they produce cells unlike the cells of the organ or tissue they originate in, and they thereby reduce the function of that organ or tissue.
Vitamin B17 is a normal nutrient (a vitamin, not a drug) that suppresses the development of trophoblasts. In other words, it kills cancer cells. It does this by means of a special metabolism that releases benzaldehyde and a form of cyanide from the vitamin that kills the cancer cell; these molecules do not affect normal cells - to normal cells, the B17 is treated as glucose. A deficiency of B17 causes a person under severe stress, or with an injury, especially to the pancreas (such as that which causes diabetes) to develop cancerous tissue. As long as the deficiency remains, the cancer grows.
Traditional chemotherapy and radiation, while killing cancer and other cells, also CAUSES development of cancer cells because of the stress. That is why it is normally fatal. The only people it works on are those who don't have severe cancer. For this reason, B17 is considered far more effective.
B17 will not repair tissue or organs damaged by cancer. So if you start on it too late, you are likely to die anyway. However, it can reduce pain and suffering in the process.
Dr. Krebs suggested that 6 apricot kernels per hour will bring relief from cancer and possibly cure it. He also said that daily ration of Vitamin B17 through apricot kernels and the seeds of fruits will prevent cancer. It is suggested that a person eat no more kernels or seeds at a sitting than can be eaten if the fruit from it is included.

Beta Glucan (Beta-1,3-D Glucan)

Beta Glucan is a powerful immune stimulant, activating the macrophages in your immune system, and enabling them to tag antigens so the immune system can recognize and attack them. Beta Glucan not only supports the macrohphage, but B lymphocytes, natural killer cells, and suppressor T cells as well. Beta Glucan is an effective antioxidant and free radical scavenger.
Beta-1,3-D-glucan is derived from cell walls of Baker's yeast. Beta-1,3-D-glucan actually triggers the immune response selectively where it starts, at the macrophage. When the Beta-1,3-D-glucan activates the macrophage it enhances phagocytosis, the ability of macrophages to engulf and destroy foreign cells and particles. Macrophage cells are the very front-line defense mechanism in our immune systems. When they are properly activated, we are relatively "immune" to diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, and other harmful entities ("antigens") in our bodies. Macrophages actually EAT antigens. When macrophages are not working properly, diseases can go out of control. As the chart shows, Beta Glucan doubles the percentage of activated macrophages within 24 hours after you take it.
Macrophages are huge cells in comparison to infectious organisms and other immune system cells. From the Greek, macro meaning large, and phage meaning to devour or engulf. This specialized cell is the first line of immune defense and, once activated creates a chain reactions that results in the mobilization and amplification of the entire immune system. A special receptor site, specific to Beta-1,3-D-glucan exists on the macrophage. Beta-1,3-D-glucan binds to the receptor site, fully activating the macrophage. Resembling an angry octopus, the macrophage extends tentacle like arms, physically pulling in infectious invaders, ingesting and destroying them with caustic enzymes. Macrophages use an enormous amount of vitamin C, so you should take a non-acidic form of C (at least 400mg) daily to maximize effectiveness of Beta Glucan.

Lycopene
Lycopene is the red stuff in tomatoes. It is a carotenoid. Presence in the body has been found to be inversely proportional to prostate cancer. It most likely applies to all cancers. Lycopene is prominently present in tomatoes and tomato sauce. A good junk food source is pizza. Researchers theorized that cooking may help because it bursts the tomato cells, thereby releasing more lycopene. They also theorized that the lipids from the cooking oil react favorably to make lycopene more assimilable. Lycopene is a known cancer treatment, and you need it in your diet. Selenium is a vital anti-oxidant which protects the immune system by preventing the formation of free radicals, which can damage the body. Selenium and Vitamin E act synergistically to aid in the production of antibodies and to help maintain a healthy heart. This mineral is also needed for pancreatic function and tissue elasticity.

Selenium is a proven cancer-fighter. University of Arizona researcher Larry Clark, M.D., conducted a seven-year study involving more than 1,000 older people with skin cancer. Half of the patients took selenium supplements during the study, the remaining half took placebos.
Selenium supplementation was associated with a reduction in cancer incidence of 42%, and also appeared to reduce the risk of dying from cancer in treated patients. Interestingly, no drop in the incidence of skin cancer was observed during the study. However, selenium supplementation did appear to reduce the risk for several other types of cancer significantly, including colon cancer, prostate cancer, and lung cancer.
Selenium has two main effects. It enchances the activity of the enzyme, PX GSH, which strengthens system and it neutralizes free radicals which directly attack the system. Free radicals are submolecular particles which contribute to the breakdown of living cells, a process known as oxydation. Most of us are familiar with rusting metal. Rusting is also an oxidation process. Just as exposing metal to moisture increases the rate at which it rusts, exposure to a range of environmental toxins and solar radiation increases the rate at which the cells of human body deteriorate. As a result, our bodies' immune system functions less efficiently, making us more susceptible to desease. Immune system impairment has been implicated in a range of malignant conditions such as cancer. Alone and in combination with other antioxidants, selenium is essential inclusion in the daily diet.

Bovine Tracheal Cartilage (BTC)
BTC is an immune system builder, arguably better and 1/5 the price of shark cartilage. It was developed as a cancer therapy by Dr. John F. Prudden in the early 1970's. It is available commercially in health food stores under the names Processed Bovine Cartilage, including VitaCarte, CATRIX, and BTC. It has been use to treat many malignancies including, but by no means limited to, Pancreatic Cancer, Metastatic Breast Cancer, Glioblastoma Multiforme, and Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma. BTC is virtually non-toxic with only rare instances of mild GI tract effects recorded.
BTC therapy consists of taking three grams three times per day in the form of capsules. Cost is about $160.00 per month. Response may take several months to develop, and if there is a response, treatment should be continued indefinitely. Therefore patients should be prepared to take it over the long term.

The published results of a five-year study of 100,000 participants is reported as follows:

St. John's Wort - Cancer Highlighter
IN A NOVEL experiment, Canadian and Ukrainian scientists are testing the illuminating qualities of St. John's wort, which they say is quickly absorbed by cancerous cells. The idea is to turn hypericin, the active ingredient in St. John's wort, into a missile that selectively illuminates cancer cells, while leaving healthy cells unlit. The strategy appears to be working, at least in animals. In tests on dogs at a local veterinarian clinic, the researchers have so far detected one case of cancer.
Hypericin shows up as a red spot when an animal is "illuminated" with blue filtered light, reported Andrew Rawicz, an engineering scientist at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia and colleagues at the University of Kiev. Once the cancer has been identified, an orange light forces hypericin to release unstable oxygen molecules that decompose the cells, he said.
The whole scenario sounds like it's out of a low-budget sci-fi flick. First, the animal is given hypericin, either in tablet form or as an ointment applied to the skin. Then, it is taken into a dark room, a makeshift lab in a 10-by-10-foot darkroom on campus. A modified theater stage light provides the filtered blue light, and a highly sensitive camera capable of reading only the light produced by the hypericin transmits an image back to a computer screen for closer scrutiny. Any red spots mark cancer.
" Tumors are greedy," Rawicz said. "Cancer cells grow fast and eat more, and tend to accumulate more of the hypericin - even 10 times more than normal cells. "Once it is absorbed, we can illuminate the patient in a dark room and see these localized red spots," he said. "We can say, 'this is where the cancer is.' " The method, which was "imported" from Kiev, is now being tested on patients in Eastern Europe.
" Hypericin gives us a very natural way of screening for various types of cancer," said Rawicz. There are almost no side effects, he added, and the herb is much cheaper than synthetic substances used to track cancer cells.

Electronic Therapies
This page deals with instruments and other physical tools used used to treat cancer. My definition of a tool is any physical device that you can use by itself to effect an improvement in health without ingesting or injecting a substance that passes through the blood, nerve, glandular, or alimentary system. These devices are not necessarily safe to use, and if they malfunction, they may be able to injure you. In general, they are not accepted or approved by the medical community. However, some people claim they improve their cancer condition, so they are covered here. Consult your doctor for advice using them, and don't be surprised if he knows nothing about them. Many people believe electronic therapies ARE the medicine of the future. The human body is after all an electrochemical device, so it is little wonder that much good or harm can result from electronic therapies.

Body Frequency

Zapper
The Zapper is an electronic device that kills parasites, bacteria, and viruses with electrical energy, but does not harm human tissue. The Zapper is an electronic circuit that generates a 35 KiloHertz square wave signal that oscillates between 0 and +5 Volts DC. Any frequency between 20 KHz and 40 KHz will work.
Full instructions on how to make the zapper are given in Hulda Clark's book The Cure for All Diseases. She proved it to kill ("zap") parasites, bacteria, and viruses of all types including those that cause cancer. The theory is that the signal destroys the organisms' abilities to metabolize nutrients, and so they quickly die.
Treatment consists of holding an electrode in each hand while the device is oscillating for three 7-minute periods separated by 20-minute intervals of no zapping. The first period kills the parasites, the second the bacteria that escaped from the dead parasites, and the third the viruses that escaped from the dead bacteria. Do this at least three times a day till healed.
Since the zapper kills all kinds of bacteria, it is a good idea to take acidophilus daily to ensure good digestion and vitality. You should not be able to feel any energy emanating from the zapper at all because it is a 5 Volt device (less than two flashlight batteries). It costs about $20 to build your own, or $150 to buy one.

Rife Machine
In 1934, Dr. Royal Raymond Rife (yes, that was his real name) accomplished one of the greatest achievements in 20th century energy medicine. After years of research based on a light microscope of his own invention, he was able to see and destroy cancer-causing virus by irradiating it with electromagnetic energy.
The original Rife machine consisted of the microscope and ray tube in one huge unit comprised of over 5,000 parts. Modern units are small electronic signal generators. The Rife machine generates an alternating frequency from 1 Hz to about 10,000 Hz at a voltage than can be adjusted from 0 to 30VAC. This frequency kills disease-causing microbes but does not harm the human body. The modern approximations of the Rife Machine lets you hold electrodes or attach sticky electrodes to areas of your body that need to be zapped.
No "original" Rife Machine exists as far as I know. His plans and papers were destroyed in fires sometime during the process of drug companies or jealous competitors trying to drive Rife to suicide. Much material is on the internet and in books for the diligent seeker, but only approximations of his original devices exist.
His original consisted of a 5500-part heterodyning ultra-violet light microscope with an integrated ray tube that generated tunable frequencies. He could direct the energy onto the microbe as he watched its response in the microscope.
Dr Rife created a table of precise frequencies needed to destroy microbes of all kinds, including everything from parasites to viruses. It functions by vibrating the microbe at its own resonant frequency, causing it to implode. Dr Rife proved it worked on viruses by watching the viruses as they were killed. He had to develop a special ultraviolet light microscope in order to do it because viruses are not visible using normal light microscopes, and the dye required to see them with an electron microscope kills them.
Unlike Dr. Clark's zapper, the Rife machine creates a definite sensation. The idea is to let it radiate energy through the sick area of your body at each selected frequency for a short period of time. Dr. Rife discovered that the microbes, in order to avoid destruction, mutate as they are being destroyed. The mutant forms are not affected by the same frequency as the original form. However, only a few frequencies needed to kill all mutant forms. You must use each such frequency for an effective treatment that kills the original and all mutant forms.
The end result is that daily use will kill the cancer viruses, as well as other harmful viruses.
Johnson
Milbank Johnson, M.D conducted the first and only study of the Rife Frequency Generator as a potential cancer treatment. Dr Johnson coordinated the study in conjunction with the Medical Research Committee of the University of Southern California. He treated 16 patients with various types of advanced cancers, all of whom had been declared "terminal" or "incurable". After 3 months of the Rife treatment, 14 of these "hopeless" cases were declared clinically cured and in good health by a staff of 5 M.D.s and by Alvin G Ford, M.D. group pathologist. "Dr Johnson died in 1944. The suspicion exists that he was silenced...However two federal inspectors did examine his hospital record in the late 1950's. They concluded it was likely that he was poisoned."--Barry
