Barry Lynes, author of The Healing of Cancer and The Cancer Cure That Worked, spoke to an audience at Health Action '92, about the importance of creating new laws which govern access to unconventional cancer treatment. His message is not only well-referenced and hot, but it really sizzles at times.

It is important to emphasize again and again and again that finding a cure is not the problem The cures for many cancers, if not most cancers, exist. But they are not being offered to the patient who has cancer.... Being legally permitted to use an alternative cancer therapy is the problem. [Healing of Cancer, Pg.8]

Lynes told Health Action '92 that the US Court of Appeals for New York, in 1987, ruled that the patient has a legal right to unconventional cancer treatment. This critically important judicial decision is not the law throughout the United States, but has set a precedent. Lynes also cited a much older US law going back to 1847, made by a US Supreme Court judge who ruled that the individual may resist that which does him or her harm, be it an assassins assault, or a groups attempt to poison.

The critical thing to remember, Lynes counsels, is that it is the fundamental right of the citizen to resist. Another point that Lynes brings up was a Supreme Court decision in 1990, [Cruzan v. Missouri, June 25, 1990] "a competent person has a liberty interest under the due process clause in refusing unwanted medical treatment."

Chemotherapy, according to Lynes, is a useless poison, and he makes his case by referring to research done in 1990 by a top statistician in Germany. Ulrich Abel, Ph.D., spent a year, reviewing numerous chemotherapy trials [several thousand articles]. His conclusion was that chemotherapy cannot extend life when it comes to cancer of the major organs. He then declared that 90 per cent of all cancer research is devoted to chemotherapy. Put those two together and you realize that the majority of cancer research money is being spent on a treatment that has no sound scientific proof that it works.

Radiation is also on Lynes' hit list. John Gofman, an outstanding expert in radiation in the world, particularly with low level radiation, says: "Several hundred scientist trained in the biomedical aspect of atomic energy, myself definitely included, are candidates for Nuremberg-type trials for crimes against humanity for our gross negligence and irresponsibility."

Vested Interest

In Lynes' judgment, the "cancer establishment", including conventional treatment and research, have deep vested interests, and represents $50 billion to $75 billion dollars annually in the US

"A noted cancer specialist in Boston said he believed that is some simple and inexpensive replacement for Chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer were found tomorrow, all US medical schools would teeter on the verge of bankruptcy, so integral a part of their hospital revenues is oncology, the medical specialty of cancer treatment". Lynes quoted David Kessler, current head of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States. According to the March 2, 1992 issues of Barron's, David Kessler has admitted that the investigators are all taking payoffs. "Everything is tainted. Almost every doctor in academia has something going on the side, and I don't know what it is, I don't have the authority to find out. I don't know whet they are getting legally as far as financial return, stock, money, whatever, I certainly don't know what they are getting under the table."

The Man Who Cured Cancer

Lynes touched quickly on a man called Royal Rife, the subject of his book, The Cancer Cure That Worked. Rife was a San Diego scientist who invented a super microscope in the 1930's. Until then, the light microscope of the time had a 2,000 magnification capability. Rife invented a microscope that could magnify 30, 000 times, enabling him to see organisms that no one had ever seen before. Today we have electron microscopes which can magnify up to a million times, but because of the vacuum, one is viewing dead microorganisms. What Royal Rife could see in the 1930's was living micro-organisms that were causing disease. He worked with radio waves and light waves, and created wave-form medicine.

Rife was the guiding genius behind a series of clinics that existed in California from 1934 through 1938. Sixteen people with a variety of malignancies were treated in a clinic set up under the University of Southern California. After three months, 14 of these so called hopeless cases were pronounced clinically cured, after being treated with Rife's Frequency Instrument. The other two cures were verified one month after the clinic as closed.

Rife isolated different viruses associated with TB, Polio, cancer and other diseases and with his Ray machine tuned to a certain frequency for each one, was able to devitalize these disease organisms.

In 1939, the medical authorities banned the use of the microscope and the Ray Instrument, confiscated the ones in use and forced Rife into court. The fascinating full account can be read in The Cancer Cure That Worked.

Lynes referred to his research on a man from the 1930's named Jethro Kloss, who treated cancer using diet. He had a wonderful book published, called Back to Eden, that Lynes recommends cancer patients to read. The life-giving properties of the diet, according to Lynes, keep the blood stream pure and cancer will not develop where there is a pure blood stream.

Cancer patients are also recommended to read a book called The Controlled Clinical Trial, by Harris Coulter, a science writer for the L.A. Times. The book deals with the medical system that is set up to perpetuate grants and officialdom.

Lynes makes a point that the cancer industry is guilty, by suppressing information on successful alternative cancer treatments, of nothing short of murder.•
